Short Answer: A starter kit should NOT cost more than $50.
Long Answer: The electronic cigarette comes in three parts. To buy each part separately, it’d cost about $26, but you’ll need a charger for the battery, and you really need a second battery and maybe a second atomizer… basically you need enough parts for two e-cigs, because something always needs charging, and if a part goes bad, you have to wait for shipping of a new part, so you want a backup so you don’t buy regular cigarettes while you wait for replacement parts to arrive in the mail. So the easiest thing to do when starting is to get the Starter Kit; most come with enough parts to make 2 e-cigarettes.
Don’t spend more than $50 for a starter kit, don’t sign up for a trial period of anything. It should be cut and dry when buying supplies. I suggest buying from awesomevapor.com and also go to www.vapevideos.com to learn how to use an electronic cigarette and tips on getting the most for your money. I suggest the Joye 510, my favorite e-cig, and a friendly unit for people switching over from regular cigarettes. I am in Pittsboro NC and am looking for a place that sells the vapor/electric cigarettes. I would like to be able to see one in action before I buy. Thought I read somewhere that a guy sold them at Raleighs Flea market but have been out there several times and did not see anyone. Can anyone help?

Again, a bit of a drive:

Carolina Place mall sells them for $149 and then it costs $10 for 5 refill carts (if you are a pack a day smoker around $60 a month). They do not allow returns only exchanges and their carts come in limited flavors.

I bought mine from Epic-Vapor for $40 and they are refillable with refill liquid so it costs me around $40 a month to smoke. They are in York, SC about an hour from Charlotte.

My friend recommended them to me, I have been very happy. They answered all my questions before I bought. They have a 48 hour return policy on the equipment, but not the carts for sanitation reasons.

I buy all my refill liquid from on his website, tons of choices in flavors and strengths. I recommend them to everyone

If resident Obama is sooo concerned about the health of smokers, why would he want to ban an effective tool to aid in quitting? Could it be? Dare I say it? He just wants more taxes?

There are several "electric" cigarettes. Some are even more dangerous than traditional cigarettes. Others are just lookalikes which mimic the feel of a cigarette without the other stuff. Then there are the smokeless cigarettes which are real cigarettes without the smoke. They are also called electric cigarettes. They are as dangerous and probably more dangerous than traditional cigarettes.

Yep they do exist. I saw the lead singer of Led Zep Too ‘smoking’ one on stage to look more authentic (as it’s now illegal in UK to smoke in pubs etc). Wasn’t green though..

Whether they work or not is an idiosyncratic matter as to how well you can trick your own mind. Alternatively, as with many smokers – including myself – it’s about the smoke anyway, it’s therapeutic, just like candles are used in meditation.

I don’t know about that particular brand but I have owned an E-cig and strongly recommend you stay away from them if you have ever smoked a real cigarette. They are very expensive and the vapor is just that, it doesn’t feel like you’re inhaling smoke because you’re not. I didn’t get the nicotine fix I thought I would and, at least the one I had, was extremely heavy and bulky making it hard to just hold on to.

If you have never smoked a cigarette and just want the nicotine without the other bad parts of smokes then I would suggest trying it if you don’t mind spending an arm and a leg. If you are a smoker just stay away from them and roll your own!
