Hello!

Our class was asked this question today about cigarettes. In USA and Europe Advertising and Promoting of any brand of cigarette is banned. You cannot Advertise on Television and through any print media or Electronic media in USA and Europe. Even the shopkeepers are not allowed to display the cigarette Brands or use any posters.

So how does these companies promote or advertise their product in USA and Europe. For example, Marlboro cigarettes have the top cigarette business in the world. They used to advertise on Formula 1 cars and Moto races. But now it is banned too. So what strategy they use now?

How does these brands Attract customers to smoke their cigarettes. How they attract new customers?

My first Question on Yahoo! Answers. I am asking because i am not American or European and never visited them. So i have no idea how do they promote or advertise there.

Please help me solve this.

Lets say I am Dunhill brand and i also make Perfumes that are so popular. Smokers who like Dunhill perfume might also like my cigarettes. But what about Marlboro, L & M and those other brands competing in the market? they cannot invest this much for side projects except cigarettes. FYI the actors are banned to smoke in front of the screens and they have also banned Cartoons to advertise Cigarettes. There are so much Anti-Smoking campains in USA and our only hint was that the answer is related to Anti-Smoking Campaigns. I don’t know how these companies Advertise or promote their Brands.

I bought a white clouds electronic cigarette from the mall today. it was amazing. it worked great and all until it ran out of battery. i went home and plugged it up with the charger they gave me and it started smoking…ALOT. it burned a cigarette sized hole in my couch and it lightly burned my finger. i quickly unplugged it and it was still really hot and didnt cool down. i put it outside on concrete so it doesnt burn down my house. what can i sue the white clouds company for? please help me and explain. thanks

Here in the USA, you can hire a lawyer ($250 an hour) and sue anyone you want. Will you win? Yes, you’d probably win "damages". What are your monetary damages? The cost of the item. It’s going to cost you more to sue, than you’ll get back.

Better off just grabbing the receipt and returning it.

I am trying to sell electronic cigarettes and would like to know a place to start. I have a specific brand in mind and do not want to sell just any brand. I have tried a few and like the one that I believe works very well.

I’m not sure where I could go to get the merchandise or would I have to go through some sort of drop shipment company? I feel that there is definitely a market for this product where I live.

Does anyone know where I can get started and choose the type of cigarette I would like to sell?

The Smoking Everywhere Gold is an RN4081 and you can get replacement parts from a variety of vendors under that number or sometimes just called a "super mini" – but email the vendor first to make sure it’s an RN4081 super mini.

I’ve done a good amount of research myself. Hours and hours, so don’t tell me to look up my own answers on google or something! Also, only experienced e-cig users!

Ok, so there are so many models and companies related to e-cigs, can you please recommend to me which model I should purchase? Which one you are using, or which one you wish you had?

Secondly, I think I get how it works. But just to be extra safe, an e-cig consists of a battery, atomizer, and a cartridge. Correct? So the battery, it’s the long [usually white] part of the e-cig, right? And if it’s rechargeable, you will never need to replace it unless you physically damage it, right?

And the atomizer, how long do these last? Are there any that last a good amount of time, like 6 months to a year? Or even permanent? I’ll already be restocking on cartriges all the time , I don’t want to have to buy those AND atomizers all the time. Do you have to do anything to them? I read something about putting a liquid on them, what is that? Confused…

And cartridges are pretty self-explanatory…. screw them on until they run out…. they come in yummy flavors——–correct? What are the best cartridges in your opinion(s)? How many can you buy at once, how much?

Please, I have never tried an e-cig and very much want to get into them. After 5 years of real cigarettes, they are so are so harsh on my throat plus all of the health risks like cancer. Thank you lots!!

First of all, these are great questions that you ask. You are right, an electronic cigarette does consist of a lithium battery, atomizer and a cartridge.

The battery is rechargeable, however, that doesn’t mean it will last forever. It will last quite a while, but again, nothing lasts forever. I have used an electronic cigarette for a few years now and I own three batteries. While one is charging, I am using the other and the third one is just a charged reserve just in case my other battery isn’t charged when I use up the battery that I am smoking with.

And yes, if you damage a battery, it will definitely have to be replaced.

Depending on the use of your atomizer, it can burn out quickly or it can last a long time. I have had atomizers lasting 6 and 12 months. The reason they last this long is because I rotate them. I’ll switch them out every week. One week I’ll use one of the atomizer and let the other atomizer rest. Then, I’ll switch to the other atomizer and let the one I was using rest.

You don’t have to do anything to the atomizer, but what you are referring to is, some people who just want a few puffs will put two or three drops on the atomizer without having to use a whole cartridge. The cartridge holds the filter that hold the liquid. But, with some electronic cigarettes, you can bypass the filtered cartridge and use a blank cartridge. This is when you can just put two to three drips of e-liquid on the atomizer and get a few puffs.

Cartridges do come in some yummy flavors, however, to save even more money and get hundreds more flavors I refill my own cartridges with the e-liquids that I enjoy most.

If you get a two piece e-cig, the atomizer and the cartridge come all in one piece. Once the atomizer is dead, you end up losing the cartridge too. That means you have to replace the whole thing. I am not sure, but I do not believe that you can use the drip method with the two piece ones and of course, I am sure you will be unable to refill the cartridges.

As my recommendation, the first one you should start with is blu cig starter kit. It has everything you need to get started with.

I hope I have helped. I do enjoy my e-cigarette very much. I have eliminated the health risks, I feel so much better. I’m no longer restricted from where I can enjoy a cigarette. All I can really add is that the benefits are worth the switch, in my own opinion.

I want to quit smoking. I’m 20 and I starting smoking like about 3 years ago.

What the best brand with the most vapor and battery life?

I tired to look it up, but it’s a bunch of companies pushing their own product and I’m just not sure what the best one is.

Also, if you’ve tried them before, what’s your experience with them? Is it bad or good?
Also, how often do you have to buy new vapor things or whatever it’s called to put in them.
Help me out?

Don’t take anyone’s advice (spammers) until you do a little bit of research on your own. You need to decide which e-cig will work for YOU and YOUR habits. They are not all created equal! LOL

Try watching some videos on you tube (GrimmGreen’s channel is great) or vapetube.com, read up on some forums and get a little knowledge before you shop around for some price comparisons. If you take that little bit of time, it will save you a lot of time and money in the long run.

Avoid: free offers like "Smoke Assassin", Mall kiosks like "Smoking Everywhere"

Take your time picking a unit, give yourself time to adjust to the differences between smoking and vaping, stay open minded, and before you know it you’ll have made the switch effortlessly like thousands of other ex-smokers!

i’ve tried 3 brands. i’m new to it so i thought maybe someone has had the same reaction. i’ve had a horrible chocking cough for 3 weeks. my son brought it to my attention that it began when i started e cigs. the two might not be related at all,i hope.i really want to give up regular cigs.

It might be that you’re sensitive to propylene glycol, or allergic. A swap to glycerine based liquid should solve that but, sorry I can’t recommend a supplier. I would advise checking out an independent forum for recommendations – http://vapersnetwork.org/node/9

There’s also a couple of other things that might be happening. One is that your lungs could be clearing out the gunk from smoking – a period of detoxification and recovery is common when starting to vape because a lot of people quit smoking at the same time – smokers flu. The other thing that might be happening is that the pg is irritating your throat by drying it out. PG draws moisture away from tissues, if that’s what the problem is then most people find that drinking more solves it, especially before bedtime.

Ok, I bought my e-cigarette at a kiosk in the mall. The reason being 1) I wanted to quit and 2) I wanted to try it before I buy it. Searching online for one of these things is absolutely OVERWHELMING!

I don’t want to buy a new e-cig (I hate this company and their sales practices), I just want to know where I can find some good Camel or Marlboro flavor refills and/or liquid which I can re-load myself.

Any input for finding a good cartridge that fits this thing would be very helpful. Ten points!

Both have great prices and I know Litecig ships fast and is reliable as I have bought from him MANY times.
