I saw a commercial and it said those electric cigarrettes taste like real cigarrettes. How do they do that? Also, are they harmful by even just 1%?

i am not sure exactly how they do it but they contain nicotine and the smoke you see that is blown out is water vapor ..
the battery is charged on pc by usb ..

Electronic cigarettes are basically nicotine water vapour.
So yes they contain nicotine, but they have none of the harmful ingredients/carcinogens because nothing is being combusted. The water and nicotine is heated to form vapour and you inhale the vapour just as you would cigarette smoke.
They don’t taste the same but the vapor is just as satysfing as inhaling real tobacco smoke, and you get the nicotine so again you get the same satisfaction but no carcinogens.
You need to buy the special nicotine cartridges to put into the "cigarette", so it’s not really a cost effective option and often costs just as much as buing a pack of cigarettes per day.
These could be the future of cigarettes but they wont be because the government makes too much money off current tobacco sales.
